The objective of the seminar was to travel professionals familiar with the problems of persons with disabilities, to present concrete examples of how to be, and negative, that we should not be doing and ways to solve them and recommendations for their implementation.
The seminar was attended by Mr. Nebojsa Milovic, an adviser in the Department for Protection of Persons with Disabilities in the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, Mr. Pavle Počuč, Deputy Secretary for Economy and Tourism, Mr. Sergej Tamaš, Assistant Secretary for Economy and tourism, Mr. Georgi Genov, director Hores Mrs. Natasa Pavlovic, director of the Tourist organization of Vojvodina, Mr. Vladimir Pavkovic and Miss Jelena Jevic with High tourism school of professional studies in Belgrade, representatives of clusters of health, wellness and spa tourism, hotel, motel, tourist agencies, tourism organizations, media and the like. While supporting the idea, representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Telecommunications, on this occasion were not present.
Among other things, could be heard on the current situation in Serbia on this issue, which was one of the participants vividly stuck "on ramp" at the entrance to a building, where the cost of 2009, during the campaign, pronounced on the subject of the accessibility of persons with disabilities to public areas, including and other tourist facilities and tourist destinations.
Enabling dignified functioning using the universal tourism products and services in the region is what PWD with these performances they want to achieve.
Director of the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina, Mrs. Natasa Pavlovic on this occasion pointed out a ten-year effort TOV-a tourism that is available to all, and people with disabilities, the elderly and mothers with children in wheelchairs. She recalled the excellent cooperation TOV with the school "Dr Milan Petrovic" specialized for children with disabilities and persons with disabilities from birth to inclusion in society. Joint performances TO Vojvodina and this school, participation in projects, have spread this story and on the employment of children with disabilities. For the next year provided funds intended for the promotion of people with disabilities, which will adequately to showcase our province.
- In this segment is crucial involvement of local governments and TOV except infrastructure can provide better communication and that with his professionalism, service and servility shows that tourists with disabilities, like everyone else, domestic or foreign. Our goal of promotion is to show that tourism is for everyone - explained Mrs. Pavlovic.
President Hendi Center Coloseum Ivić expected of these seminars to not only room, bathroom and hotel with its amenities, restaurants, swimming pool, etc. are accessible to people with disabilities, but that at some time soon to be touristic destinations.
- If in two or three years we can move some of that border, and ensure that there are one or two cars in every city that transports persons with disabilities, persons in wheelchairs and blind people that can go to a picnic, galleries, museums, monasteries, theaters, cinemas, restaurants, we did the right thing. And it's all part of the tourist offer of a city. I think we're on the right track, that we gain media, which can contribute to promoting and raising the awareness of the population, especially as "emotions stirred up", they realized the essence and want to help. I'd be proud if in two years in tourist centers such as Vrnjačka Banja, Kopaonik, Zlatibor, Srebrno Jezero, Koviljaca, a dozen facilities accessible to persons with disabilities, as well as in Belgrade and Novi Sad, which should certainly have an ear for such tourism offer - said Mr. Darko Ivic.
